Today I saw Miley's new video for "Who Owns My Heart". I have nothing nice to say about it. Sincerey I'd expect this kind of video from Britney Spears.
When I saw her last music video "Can't be Tamed" I was shocked. I'll admit that the video had slutty elememts in it as well as disturbing elements, but with that music video I had temporairly abandoned my thought that she would be like Britney Spears, but guess what...it's back.
In this music video she's half naked! She's wearing black underwear and a tank-top! Not only that, but have you noticed that at the party in the end she's rubbing up against girls? I thought, wow, now you're such a slut that you're going for the same sex? Gee, why am I not surprised?
I have a question. Do you think that doing the video the way she did makes her look sexy?
I don't. It looks like she's trying too hard. I get that she's desperate to leave her innocent Disney image, but guess what Miley! IT'S TOO LATE!!!
Do you know what I mean? The girl started off on Disney at a young age (she couldn't sing then, she can't sing now). She attracted the nation's 5-8 year olds, and these kids STILL look up to her (I do not understand why), but Miley's trying to attract a different age group, and she's already failed.
Why has she already failed? Because she was too innocent for too long.
What does this mean? Miley was Hannah for too long. She started her Hollywood career and immediately pushed away the teens and young adults. I was ten when Miley first came out as Hannah, and I'll admit that I liked her. I even memorised her "I Got Nerve" song, but after a few months her songs got repeditive and annoying. I didn't like her so much, and then she began to "grow up". I said to my mom, "She's going to turn out just like Britney Spears."
I'm afraid that if she wanted to attract a different age group she's going to have to slow down. She's trying to grow up too fast, and everyone but her sees this.
Another question, have you listened to the Lyrics of "Who Owns My Heart"?
She says, "R-O-C-K mafia." WHAT THE HELL IS HER OBSESSION WITH MAFIAS???? They don't like her either! Remember what she says in "Can't be Tamed"? "Like a mafia." REALLY!?
Also, there's "Who owns my heart? Is it love or is it art?" Anyone know what that means? Can either own a person's heart? Well, probably. My own heart (for the moment) is owned by writing. I do it as often as I can. But can't both reside in one's heart? Whatever.
Did you notice that in the video, when she's getting ready for the party that she has a bump on the side of her nose? It looks like it's a nose piercing scar, but I haven't heard anything about this and don't want to start a rumor or anything. I'm just pointing it out.
I'll wait for more news on Miley and come back with a few other points until I get some. I'll proably post something about "Can't be Tamed", I have plenty of things to say about that song. Well see you!
